So Josh is leaving Jan 2 for a year to go to Kuwait and possible Iraq, so in my mind there are ALOT of things around the house that need to be taken care of, I don't know mainly the bathroom or the crown molding both still halfway done after 2 years of living in this house! But no, he decides to build a new front porch, it's gorgeous and I love it, but it was one of those "huh" moments for me, Huh, you are buidling front steps for our house when we have perfectly good ones already...
Now I'm having another "huh" moment because Josh has decided to build the kids a new play house/tree house before he leaves, in 2 months!! He started this weekend and is done with the frame and ofcourse it's gorgeous, most everything he builds is, but why. Why build that and not do things really needed around the house... maybe he's thinking if something should happen to him that the he's done this last thing for the kids, or maybe because I know something he's always wanted to do so maybe he's thinking now is as good as time as any but, "huh"!!!!
oh Man! What a wonderful Father and gifted builder! We will be thinking/praying for him when he leaves (and maybe throw in a few prayers for your NEEDED repairs, and not just the fun ones!)
