Dandriff

In the South we have a saying, if the sun is out and it's raining, the devil is beating his wife... I don't know where this came from, but I've always just said it when the rain came with sun. Well the other day, we were coming out of COSI (a fun kids science place), and it was sunny out and snowing (I know, that's OHIO for you). So I mentioned my Southern antidote to my friend Amy and I say wonder what they'd say about this. As plain as day she looked at me and said, the Devil must have dandriff!!!

My happy place

The other day I was taking a kick-a#@ step/muscle class. My instructor says to the class, "it's ok only 8 more to go, go to your happy place..."

The first thing I think of is a Chiptole burrito, with chicken, sour cream, guac, black beans and rice and don't forget the salsa, yummy, yummy salsa. I started salivating right there and then, well it was either salivation or all the sweat...

Teacher's Present

For Valentine's Day, I wanted to do something inexpensive, yet cute for the teachers. I decided on this project. I got the idea from a Family Fun magazine from years ago.

I found a 5 pack of heart cups at Deals for $1, then proceeded to fill them with candy and a hot cocoa packet. On the outside, I made labels with a note to the teacher that says "You warm my heart"


Altogether I probably spent a total of $1.50 on each of the teachers (there happen to be 5 total so it worked out)!

DUH!!

We were in the car recently, and the boys were watching Mary Poppins, it was at the scene when Mary flies on the street with her umbrella. Jane and Micheal (the 2 kids) say "OH my, is it a witch?? (or something like that) and from the back of the van, I hear Clay say to the TV screen, witches only fly with brooms, DUH!!! I don't know why but I got a good laugh from that!

Cregan's Prayer

Last night at dinner, Cregan was saying the blessing on the prayer. He blessed the food, and then continued to bless everyone under the sun, ~~~~ mom, dad, clay, collin, grandma, papa, prophet, aunt kayla, aunt rachel, aunt tanya, the list goes on and on, and then at the end of the prayer, he says very clearly, bless everyone in the world, but DON'T bless Satan, he's bad! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen... Josh and I just got a good chuckle!

Valentine Project

My friend Megan and I made a Valentine craft. We bought a LOVE sign from JoAnn's for 50% off, at $3.50 it was cheaper than buying all the letters, paint and wiring that we'd need to make the project so we really luckied out. We decompaged Valentine print scrapbooking paper to the lettering and added some ribbon for accent and VIOLA---- Gorgeous cute wall hanging...

A very, very late night!

Collin has been sick, he started on Friday with a fever and Saturday and Sunday too.. So Monday, I took him to the peds and they onfirmed that it was a virus. I took him home and he just looked pitiful, so Josh came home and decided that he really sick, and needed to go to the ER. He took him around 5:30 and at 11 pm, I called Sophie to take me to the hospital to relieve him so that he could sleep. Sophie and I stayed at the hospital, and we finally got released at 4 AM!! They perfomed X-rays, flu swab, strep test but nothing, just a virus...

The funniest part of the evening was when the Doctor came into tell us that it was time for him to go and the first thing he says is, "You a poopy head!"
