Good things that come from Facebook...

Lately I've been obsessing with Facebook, reconnecting with old friends, and playing the blasted games that I can't seem to stop playing and I'm also enjoying changing my status of what I'm doing or how I'm feeling on a sometimes hourly basis...

Well, I recently posted on Facebook, that I was in desperate need of a GNO (girls night out) and Julie's husband, Bryan responded by saying Julie needed one of those also. I said, send her up here anytime! And he did!!

He stayed home with Avery and Julie and I got to enjoy Thursday and Friday together!! She left on Saturday, which worked out because I had class that day anyway. We went shopping at Macy's (ofcourse...) and then on Friday we went to the Melting Pot with Kayla and Tanya and to see Bride Wars, which I loved!!

We had such a great time! And it was a much needed and enjoyed GNO together!

TGIF??

Friday started out uneventful, the kids were out of school, Zack had come over for the day, I was settled in for a day full of running, and yelling by 4 boys! We started out the day going to Polaris and playing at the play place, getting lunch at Chick-fil-A and just watching Kung Fu Panda. As the day progressed, I thought I should probably get some cleaning done and decided to tackle the spare bedroom, the first thing I did was to take the broken pictures frame out and bring it into the kitchen to take the glass out. I have done this several times, I have had broken frames and just taken the glass out from the top, instead of opening the back and taking the glass out that way.

Well I proceed taking the glass and there was a tough piece so I give it a little extra attention and the next thing I know I'm bleeding and the flesh from my index finger knuckle is stuck in the glass on the frame.

It went so fast, I had to get 5 sticks in the top of my finger and the knuckle will either have to be grafted or my brother in law thinks it will take about 8 weeks to heal.

So I spend the rest of the afternoon in Urgent Care, missing Jordan's party at Chucky Cheese and have this splinted wrapped up finger for a long while...

tgif? i don't think so...

My new obsession

If you know me well, heck even if you just met me, you would know I'm a coupon-clipping, thrift store shopping, clearance hunter. I thrive on finding the perfect deal, and cringe in almost physical pain if I have to pay full price for anything! This is not limited to my home and clothing purchases however I am becoming quite savvy with the whole printing my coupons off the computer and going to the stores that double them and hitting only the stuff on sell... and so on and so forth...

For example, 2 weeks ago, I hit Giant Eagle, I had a .75 cent coupon in hand for Nestle 10 pack of hot chocolate, this would have in ordinary circumstances been 1.50 off the hot chocolate BUT I got it for FREE, because it was on sell for 1.00!! This week I got ceral, Fiber One Frosted Flakes for 1.50!!

And this week, I'm heading over to Kroger for free Charmin Toilet paper and .25 Kroger Napkins and .25 cent Kroger Sour Cream. Do you want to know how and where I'm finding all these good deals...it's from here, she's great. She goes through all the ads, and finds the coupons and the online coupons for you. She has it separated for Kroger, Giant Eagle, Target, CVS, Walgreens. This chick is either extremely organized or has a WHOLE lotta time on her hands! Either way, check her out she's awesome.

Why am I so tired?

It's 10am, I went to bed at 10pm, I got up at 6am, I have a cough and all the boys have coughs. Cregan woke up with pink eye, and I worked at the Y last night...

Why am I so tired?? I'm not doing anything strenous, or time comsuming, well except for playing the word challenge games on facebook, but other than that life is normal.

I'm wondering if it's because I am letting my body really relax now that Josh is home, he has put the kids to bed the last couple of nights and he's been tremendously helpful around the house. I have a whole lot less to do now than I had to do 3 weeks ago. So can someone explain to me why, oh why am I say, t.i.r.e.d!!??

Ideal promises?

New Year's resolutions, should we call them by their true names?? Ideal promises. We think of something we'd like to do, something simply, not too hard. Something we might ought to already be doing... and then we resolve that THIS year will be different, this year I'm deteremined, no, no ... resolved to do X, Y or Z...

What is my ideal promise, or New Year's resolution?? To run a 5K.... ok, that's not a joke, don't go looking for the punch line on this one. I really do want to run a 5K and I'm determined to do so, at least I'm resolved to anyway...

What is your New Year's resolution?
