I try to be mad at Josh, I really do. And I get mad at him often, but I never stay mad for long, it's his goofy grin, or sarcastic comments that always put a smile on my face. This time it was a card.
I woke up on Sunday quietly got out of bed, pulled the 3 Valentine boxes for the boys out and the card that I bought for Josh, wrote in it (something sappy ofcourse), then I inserted the Itunes gift card into the card (because he's been complaining about my music) and some pink Orbitz gum (because he's always chewing my gum).
The kids get up, and are excited, Josh gets up and gets his card and I'm waiting, nothing... waiting nothing... finally I ask, "so where's my card?". He gives me a sheepish grin and says "Wait for it..." OK, I think. So I make eggs for the kids, and take breakfast down stairs to Josh in bed. "Now? I say?"
He says, "I'll give it to you after church". I know at this point he didn't get me anything... I know that it's been 15 years of Valentine's and he didn't even get me a card and I'm mad, no pissed. So I go ahead and get the kids ready for church, we finally get out the door and go to church. I think there's no point in being mad, he'll write me a nice long letter and it'll be fine...
Well, Josh had to leave church with Collin because Collin had an accident, and when I get in the car after church, I ask him so where's my letter... he smiles, and I'm thinking you didn't even write one did you...
I get home and sitting on the buffet is a zig zag version of a piece of paper, if you look at it from one side it says I love you forever and if you look at from a different angle, there's a heart. He spent the 2 hours home working on it.
I try to stay mad at this man, but I just can't...
Kinda sounds like Dusty. :)
