An ode to the superhero

Oh Superhero you are so awesome in your awesomeness
You provide hours and hours of day dreaming for my little ones
You are beyond reproach or timeouts
You are a superhero!



Your titles range from Batman to Spiderman to even Indiana Jones
and your weapons are just as vast.
Sometimes you are a bow and arrow made from a wire hanger and
other times you are a hand that magically shots out invisible webbing
Mostly you are a sword or gun
fighting crime and injustice and well the "bad guys"



We don't know who the "bad guys" are exactly,
boy oh boy as a superhero you do.
You detect them in the room from swooping off the couch
and swishing your said weapon through the air
I can only assume the "bad guys" are too fast for regular folk to see
or that they are invisible.



Nevertheless you as a superhero will get them
and protect us all...
