My 1st week without Josh

Well, Josh officially left on Saturday. The kids and I went to Perrysburg on Thursday to see him off, on Friday there was a going a way ceremony (which I have pictures to post for them when I get them...). The ceremony was very patriotic and emotional, there were hundreds of soldiers leaving and hundreds and hundreds of family members and friends saying Goodbye to them. Leah (my mother in law) and Kayla (my sister in law), Jon (her husband) and Jordan (my neice) all came up too for the ceremony. We had a great time after the ceremony where everyone except for Leah (who'd gone home), Kayla and Josh, went swimming. Their was a huge indoor pool that connected with the outside, so you could swim under a tunnel and get to the outside pool, and steam would be coming off of the pool because the heat hitting the cool air, it was neat. Josh also saved someone on Friday, he saw a little kid drowning and jumped in, fully dressed, and pulled the boy out!! He is truely my hero!!

This week has been alright, I guess. It really hasn't felt any different yet. Josh was gone a lot with work and school and side projects, so this week so far has felt like anyother, except at night when I hear every crick of the floor and have the phone laying beside me, "just in case." The kids so far have been ok, Clay cried on Saturday that he didn't kiss his dad goodbye, and that he was very sad about him being gone but has since been pretty good. Cregan has been acting out, with talking back and hitting me when things don't go there way, but I've been trying to nip that in the bud, and everytime the door opens or the dog barks that someone is at the door, Collin says "daddy, daddy".

  2. You are an incredibly strong wife and mother to support Josh like this. I could NEVER be an army wife. My prayers are with you and Josh.
